IP Command and Prescom today announced the successful completion of compatibility testing and certification of IP Trade’s IP Command VoIP-RoIP dispatch console and Prescom’s IP radio (RoIP) gateways.

Dispatchers and critical users can now communicate, create groups, conference/patch, and text while visualizing and prioritizing a high volume of communications in both telephony and radio environments simultaneously.

The solution simplifies and streamlines critical telephony and radio (TETRA) communications through a single user interface for dispatch control centers (TETRA). This improves productivity while reducing stress on dispatchers which can enhance the speed and accuracy of vital communications in emergency services, public safety and other critical communications environments

This solution is designed to enable customers to capitalize on the trend in unified communications toward a converged architecture for telephony and radio communications and realize significant performance increases for operators and cost reduction for organizations.

The integration co-developed by research and development teams at IP Command and Prescom, is based on accepted industry standards for TETRA, SIP and ED.137 which provides the basis to interconnect the heterogeneous spheres of telephony and radio. The solution will be demonstrated in the “World of Solutions” at Cisco Live, February 15-19 in Berlin (http://www.ciscolive.com/emea).
